Ø Please pray for more affordable housing in New Orleans
Ø Please pray for more affordable daycare in New Orleans
Ø BFH and Carver are working together to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) to employees in a local hotel. Please pray that the relationship with the hotel will continue to be positive and that the workers will be open to not only learning English but about the One who wants to have a personal relationship with them. Please pray for staff as they prepare for each lesson.
Ø Wednesday Bible Study Please pray for the women as they come from all walks of life, all of which were affected by the 2005 Hurricanes. Please pray for this ministry and its effectiveness to the community. Pray for the ladies that come that they would grow closer to God during this time.
Ø Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks for friends and family; we like to provide the food and tables for our community to do this. We also like to let people to know that there is always room at the table for a new friend/family member in the family of God. We use this time to not only feed those in our community but to let them know how much we love them because God does. Please pray for the families that will be represented this day and for the lives that are still being rebuilt from Katrina or other "disasters" in their lives.

Carver Baptist Center
Ø Please pray for the continued growth and strength of the center and church workers.
Ø Please pray that entire families would come, grow in their relationship with Christ, and be changed into what God has for them as a result of our new Thursday Family Community Night which includes worship, meals and small groups.
Ø Please pray for our children’s afterschool program that we would be effective in reaching more children with the gospel and then be able to disciple them.
Ø Please pray that God would provide the needed workers and volunteers.

Ø For more people to come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior
Ø Health and strength for the missionaries & workers
Ø For our new Christians as they are being discipled but many times are still living among family and friends living lifestyles filled with drugs and violence
Ø For God to supply funding to continue our programs and operate our Center
Ø For the kids and teens in our neighborhoods are living in homes filled with violence, drugs, poverty, and many times neglect.
Ø For our city and nation to humble themselves before God
Ø For more quality volunteers and volunteer groups as the harvest is overwhelming and the quality workers/groups are few at times
